I have been creating original artwork here in the Pacific Northwest since I moved to Portland, Oregon in 1985! Although I am primarily a painter, I also have a background in textile design: surface design and French Pictorial tapestry. These other art forms inform my work in color texture pattern and overall design.

I also practice and teach the Asian art of Sumie. Painting with inks onto rice papers. As a Plein Air painter I go out on location whenever the weather permits. I have traveled and painted extensively along the west coast and in New Mexico as well at the famed Ghost Ranch in Abuiqui. 

My work has been featured on Oregon ArtBeat & HGTV's Modern Masters. I have written articles for OutDoor Painter, Plein Air magazines. Most recently,          "The Healing Power of Mother Nature" was published this past summer 2020 in which I wrote about our Columbia River Gorge area after the events of the eagle Creek Fire in 2017.
